When you sign up

We collect your email address, sign-up date, subscription status, and the wording and version of your consent. We record which form you used and, if you sign up after the demo, your wreck or jungle choice. You do not need to sign up to play.

We use your consent to send the updates you select. The VOICE list covers AUDIOWORLDS development news and invitations to early previews. The open-beta list covers beta updates. Existing beta consent is not treated as permission for unrelated marketing.

Your choices

You can withdraw your consent at any time using an unsubscribe link supplied with updates or by emailing hello@audioworlds.app. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Running the service

We use technical request information to deliver the website and protect the sign-up form. The form uses a temporary code derived from an IP address to limit repeated submissions. These records expire after ten minutes and are cleared during subsequent successful sign-ups.

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service, preventing abuse, answering enquiries and maintaining records of consent and opt-outs. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information in your message.

Storage and providers

The website is published through ChatGPT Sites using Cloudflare hosting. Sign-up records are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Our contact mailbox uses Neo email services. These providers process information needed to operate their services; technical data may be processed internationally. Their privacy information describes their processing and safeguards: OpenAI, Cloudflare and Neo. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.

Signing up saves your interest; it does not start a conversation or automatically send a welcome email. We will update this notice when additional services are introduced.

How long we keep information

We keep subscription details while you remain subscribed and the list is being used for the updates you requested. If you unsubscribe, the system marks your record as inactive rather than automatically deleting it. Limited consent and opt-out records help us honour your choice and resolve questions about permission.

We assess retention by whether information is still needed to provide the requested updates, handle an outstanding enquiry, demonstrate consent or prevent unwanted messages. You can contact us to request deletion or ask about a particular record.

Your device and VOICE

The player uses browser storage to remember settings, story progress and discoveries. You can remove this through your browser’s site-data controls; doing so may reset your progress.

The current public VOICE page is an introduction and interest form. It does not request microphone access, record your voice or start a live AI conversation. We will explain any voice-data processing before offering a conversational preview.
